Dr. Emily Vaughan was raised in Fairbanks. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and her degree in veterinary medicine from the University College Dublin in Dublin, Ireland. Dr. Vaughan is excited to be part of the Mt. McKinley Animal Hospital team.
During her time in Ireland, Dr. Vaughan volunteered at many farms, companion animal, large animal, and equine veterinary clinics around the Irish countryside.
Dr. Vaughan’s interests include small animal internal medicine, ultrasonography, soft tissue surgery, and small ruminant medicine.
Dr. Vaughan enjoys exploring the great outdoors with her best buddy Dave the Dog. She has a cat named Baloo, a Siamese mix, two orange medium haired kitten siblings named Pork and Beans, and an ornate wood turtle named Mike. She raises pigs and chickens, enjoys gardening, playing soccer, and is an avid cyclist.
