Pioneering Standards

We believe in pioneering higher standards of veterinary care for our community. We believe in changing what a veterinary practice can mean to you, and the way it can make an impact in your life. It starts with practicing gold-standard medicine, to every single patient, on every single visit. It’s why we have earned the rare AAHA accreditation; we believe in excellence in everything we do. We think deeply about how to better care for your pets. It’s why we are a Fear Free accredited practice. This is our vision for a new standard of veterinary medicine. Because love deserves the best.

We believe in making a difference in your life. We believe in helping you navigate the entire journey of owning and loving a pet. Guidance begins with listening. We take the time to truly understand the relationship that you share with your pet. Your lifestyle, your goals, your worries, and everything in between … when we understand you like a friend would, we are at our best. We understand what it’s like to love an animal so deeply. To feel so deeply intertwined with a pet’s well-being. To experience the entire emotional range of a pet owner – happy times, sad times, laughter, love, licks, and everything in between. We are here for you through it all. Teaching, caring, listening, and sharing. Because that’s what family means.

Higher Standards

Not all animal hospitals are accredited. Nearly 60% of pet owners think their pet’s veterinary hospital is accredited when it is not. In fact, only about 3,700 (12-15%) animal hospitals in the United States and Canada are accredited. At Mt. McKinley Animal Hospital, we hold ourselves to a higher standard, and promise that your pet is receiving care at a hospital that has passed the highest standards in veterinary care.

As the only organization that accredits veterinary hospitals in the US and Canada, AAHA sets the standard for quality veterinary care for companion animals. AAHA guidelines are professional recommendations that help veterinary teams continue to deliver quality veterinary care. AAHA guidelines cover everything from dentistry and senior care to nutrition and vaccines.
